Busy Weekend

This weekend I was trying to get back in my room to do some scrap booking and I couldn't find a thing. So I have been trying to organize and make things more user friendly. Here are a few pics of what my scrapbook room looks like so far I might do a little more tweaking.  Enjoy

Here is my Cricut Expression, my vintage scale which I store buttons in and my vintage Woodstock typewriter. I love old vintage things.

This is all my patterned paper and in the middle is a set of drawers that is full of assorted embellishments or toppings as Lacey would call them ;) And on top sets my clip it up it is full of Rub Ons and my Sizzix texture Boutique.

This is how I store all my solid card stock all three drawers pull out and I have dividers in their to separate the paper by color. Also on top is an assortment of vintage keys and hardware I have been collecting. And of course Tim Holtz Sizzix machine.

The Cork filled frame was a gift from my Aunt she collected old corks from wine bottles and filled this frame and gave it to me as a house warming gift. Love It!!  I have it on an easel with a layout of our family. On the second self of the wire rack you can see the ACT spinner that I have been working on I am not finished with it yet but it is coming together, and the basket below it is full of Tim Holtz goodies.

This is my ribbon wall I got these black ladders from ABC (they are just like the ones we had at the store) and drilled holes in them for dowel rods so my ribbon wouldn't fall off. Loved the way it turned out.

This is a hodge podge of stuff on top are my completed albums. On the next shelve are some round plastic bins that are filled with ribbon. In the small plastic drawers I have separated all my alphabets so all the A's are together and so on. In the lager plastic drawers are more toppings. In the wicker basket which is full, are layouts that I need to put pics on.

This is my work station, I am still looking for a desk but it is so hard to find a black solid wood desk.

Here is the computer area. On top is a vintage doctors bag the kind they would carry when they made house calls it still has a few of the doctors instruments inside. I found it when I went to Canton trade days.

Well there you have it a view from my scrap room. Hope you enjoyed your brief tour.

Happy Scrapping

Fun times with the family

We took the kids fishing this weekend, what was supposed to be just a relaxing day out by the pond turned competition among my youngest Brendan and my brother. They started out on opposite sides of the pond until Brendan caught two monster cat fish, then he caught another one and my brother made his move over to Brendan's side of the pond but, my poor brother was out of luck that day not one fish. Brendan caught four and my dad caught one. It was a fun day!!

ATC kit

What I am working on now:

I ordered a 7 gypsies spinner kit from the girls over at 1 lucky day www.2gypsygirls.com/, they are the coolest two chicks; very vintage. Of course I have changed it up a little, and added a few things. O.K. maybe alot.  I love the concept of a mini album on my desk to look at while I am working on other things. I tried not to stay with one theme I want it to be a range of different events.  As I continue to work on it I will post more pics. Here is what I have so far:
